The 2024 NBA Draft might lack the generational talent of the class that will be taking the stage later this month, but it should be deep. Not only is there a solid class of incoming freshman at the college level, but there should be a variety of rising sophomores and even quality upperclassmen that will be in the mix for next summer’s draft.
There were several really good college players that had already made their decision to stay in school soon after the recent season came to an end. From there, a much larger group of prospects tested the pre-draft process before withdrawing more recently. On Wednesday, we saw an influx of prospects dropping out fo the 2023 NBA Draft with the withdrawal deadline looming.
With the transfer portal and NIL considerations, going back to school for another year is attractive to most of these players. It also is an opportunity for them to get better and increase draft stock ahead of next summer.
