2024 NBA Draft: Top Prospects in the ACC
College basketball is just right around the corner so thankfully we still have time to do some preseason scouting on these college players. Let’s dive into the top ACC prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft.
Kyle Filipowski | Duke
Kyle Filipowski is a 7-foot sophomore center that will be playing for the Duke Blue Devils this upcoming season. The skilled big man was a double-double machine during his freshman year at Duke. Filipowski was quite dominant on the glass on both ends of the floor while also bringing a ton of different things to the table on the offensive end. He can really finish around the rim, pass and score it. If Filipowski can become more consistent as an outside shooter then we should get to the point where he’s really in lottery conversations for the 2024 NBA Draft.
Tyrese Proctor | Duke
Tyrese Proctor is a 6-foot-5 sophomore combo guard that will be playing for Duke as well this upcoming season. He’s a skilled guard that brings a lot to the table on the offensive end. Proctor is a high-feel guard that can initiate an offense or play as a secondary creator. He can really shoot it despite the less than ideal 3-point percentage from last season. We should anticipate a much better sophomore campaign out of Proctor as he’ll be given more responsibilities and will feel much more comfortable with the college game.
Judah Mintz | Syracuse
Judah Mintz is a 6-foot-4 sophomore combo guard that will be playing for the Syracuse Orange this upcoming season. He does a lot of his damage as a scorer inside the arc as he’s a crafty finisher around the rim and a really good shot-maker from the mid-range area. Mintz has the handle to create space off the dribble for himself and has shown improvements as a playmaker and creator for his teammates. The next step for the skilled guard is to improve as a 3-point shooter. Mintz just barely shot 30% from three in his freshman season so if he’s able to get more consistent as an outside shooter than he’ll have the full three level scoring package.
