Zach Edey, Kyle Filipowski Headline Strong Class of Collegiate Returners
The 2023 NBA Draft, one of the stronger drafts in recent memory, came and went quickly. And we’ve now officially moved on to the 2024 NBA Draft cycle.
It’s no secret the 2024 draft class isn’t as highly-lauded as 2023. But it should be bolstered plenty by a strong class of colligate returnees
Each year, some of the top college players test the NBA waters via the combine, private workouts and more. But end up returning to college to further progress certain skills or continue honing their overall game.
This year’s returning class is headlined by the likes of Zach Edey, Kyle Filipowski, Tyrese Proctor, Donovan Clingan and more.
There’s a plethora of collegiate players that will pepper the ranks of the draft. But the four aforementioned players likely have the best shot at making waves throughout the season.
The Duke duo, Filipowski and Proctor, have a decent chance at being drafted in the lottery with a bump to certain swing skills.
Clingan could do the same with opportunity, which he lacked some on last year’s national champion UConn squad.
And Edey, last year’s national player of the year, is looking to make one last push for the first round as a 7-footer with a strong traditional presence.
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Ryan Nembhard, Terrance Shannon, Adem Bona, Trey Alexander and plenty more are sure to make their mark also.
If even a few one-and-done’s are able to exceed expectations, the class could turn out much stronger than expected.
