Top Prospect Dylan Harper Denies Recruiting Reports: ‘No False Information’
Dylan Harper, one of the top players in the 2024 high school basketball class, has officially denied reports that his list of future schools has been cut down.
Harper is a smooth, 6-foot-5 shooting guard who essentially had his choice of schools as one of the top players in the nation. This year, he’ll play for Don Bosco Prep out of Ramsey, NJ.
Harper, as heralded a recruit as they come, is a five-star on every major recruiting site, which includes ESPN, 247sports, Rivals and On3. He ranks second overall in the class on every site, understandably second only to Cooper Flagg, potentially the top basketball prospect in the world.
In late-January, Harper officially narrowed down his list of schools to five, which included Auburn, Duke, Rutgers, Kansas and Indiana.
A Rutgers-based Twitter account posted on Friday that Harper may have narrowed down his list to three, cutting both Kansas and Auburn, but the talented guard had time to fire back
“Still down to 5 no false information,” Harper tweeted.
It was good news for Auburn and Kansas fans, as Harper would be a big get for any team in the country.
A bigger shooting guard prospect, he wows with his overall feel for the game, strong perimeter presence as a lefty and his toolsy and consistent defensive prowess. He doesn’t have premier athleticism, but does a great job in getting to his spots and getting shots off, similar to jumbo guards of draft’s past.
Harper’s recruitment will be a major one to monitor regarding the 2024 high school class and the 2025 NBA Draft.
