Three international basketball prospects — Nikola Topic, Ulrich Chomche and Pacome Dadiet — declared for the 2024 NBA Draft on Monday. While Topic was expected, the other two were interesting decisions.

The highest-profile and least surprising player to declare was Topic, who as of now likely has top-five stock.

At 6-foot-6, Topic wowed in the Adriatic league, pouring on 18.4 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 46% overall in 12 games for Mega MIS. He eventually made a move to Crvena zvezda of the EuroLeague, but played sparingly in two games before suffering a knee injury that has kept him sidelined since.

Despite that, Topic’ size mixed with his obvious feel for the game will likely see him as one of the top point guards taken off the 2024 draft board.

Chomche, a 6-foot-11 Cameroonian forward who played for the NBA Academy over the past year, is an extremely intriguing prospect. Out of the pool of available players, Chomche is the youngest at just 18-and-a-half on draft night.

He’s a bouncy combo forward who can make plays around the rim, but also boasts a decent outside shot. Despite being a relative unknown at this point in time, there are rumblings he could be coveted in 2024. If he doesn’t opt to keep his name in the draft, he could sign with any number of professional or college teams.

France’s Dadiet also entered his name for 2024. A 6-foot-8 wing, Dadiet impresses with size, feel for the game and shot-making. In 22 games for Paris U21 team, he scored 17.3 points, grabbed 5.2 rebounds and dished 1.7 assists.

The trio of players now make an already interesting 2024 NBA Draft that much more so.
