NBA Draft Roundup: Edey, Jackson-Davis Face Off
Saturday featured a loaded slate of college basketball games, many of which included 2023 NBA Draft hopefuls looking to raise their stock.
But Sunday had its fair share as well, including dominant performances from several top prospects.
Here were some of the top performances from Sunday’s slate of college basketball games:
Zach Edey vs. Trayce Jackson-Davis
Saturday’s matchup between No. 1 Purdue and No. 21 Indiana not only saw the top-ranked team in the country fall, it was one of the better big man matchups we’ve seen this cycle.
Indiana forward Jackson-Davis was the main contributor in knocking off the Boilermakers, pouring on 27 points, seven rebounds and five blocks
Purdue’s Edey, a likely second round talent who has been looking to play himself into first round consideration lately, finished with 33 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks in the loss.
Keyonte George, Baylor
George put up his normal production on Saturday: 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. But this time did so on good efficiency, something he’s struggled with as a frosh at Baylor.
George shot 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc in the 17-point conference win over Texas Tech.
Jalen Wilson, Kansas
Potential first rounder Jalen Wilson filled up the stat sheet on Saturday, despite the Jayhawks having a tough day versus Iowa State.
Wilson scored 26 points, added nine rebounds and a pair of assists. Perhaps most impressively, he got to the line several times, finishing 9-for-11 from the charity stripe.
Taylor Hendricks, UCF
A surprise one-and-done, Hedricks has continued to insert his name into lottery talk, and Saturday’s performance helped him do so.
He finished with 21 points on 50% shooting, knocking down four of his nine attempts from three. He also tacked on eight rebounds, two assists and one steal and block apiece.
