NBA Draft Roundup: Gradey Dick, Duke Trio See Productive Nights
Tuesday featured a loaded slate of college basketball games, many of which included 2023 NBA Draft hopefuls looking to raise their stock.
Here were some of the top performances from Tuesday’s slate of college basketball games:
Gradey Dick, Kansas
After a stretch of lackluster performances, Dick got back on track Tuesday night, pouring on 26 points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals. He shot 10-for-17 from the field and 4-for-9 from three.
The Jayhawks beat the white-hot Oklahoma State Cowboys, 87-76.
On the season, Dick is now averaging 13.9 points, 5.0 assists and 1.6 rebounds. He's shooting 45 percent overall and 42 percent from outside.
The Blue Devils
Duke’s trio of high-profile recruits has solid outings on Tuesday night.
Kyle Filipowski led the way, scoring 22 points, grabbing six boards, dishing out three assists and issuing one block.
Dariq Whitehead, fresh off another injury, shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc to finish with nine points.
Seven-footer Dereck Lively was the least productive of the bunch, but still managed to score six points, grab six rebounds and block two shots.
Judah Mintz, Syracuse
Potential 2023 draftee Judah Mintz saw one of his best games to date on Tuesday, helping the Orange to an upset with over No. 23 NC State.
Mintz scored 20 points and dished nine assists. He finished 7-for-12 from the field, 1-for-2 from three and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
Mintz is averaging 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 22 games so far this season. The freshman has had an overall productive debut campaign that's been marred by his lack of a consistent 3-point shot.
