NBA Draft Roundup: Taylor Hendricks, Brandon Miller Continue Hot Scoring
Wednesday featured a loaded slate of college basketball games, many of which included 2023 NBA Draft hopefuls looking to raise their stock.
Here were some of the top performances from Wednesday’s slate of college basketball games:
Taylor Hendricks, UCF
Surprise one-and-done forward Taylor Hendricks continues to impress in nearly every facet of the game and Wednesday’s contest was no different.
Hendricks scored a game-high 23 points on 50 percent shooting, tacking on five rebounds, two steals and one block. He finished 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and an impressive 6-for-7 from the charity stripe.
Most importantly, UCF came away with a 5-point win.
Cam Whitmore, Villanova
Whitmore didn’t have a great night from outside the arc, but filled up the stat sheet in most every category.
He finished with 17 points on 50 percent shooting, severn rebounds and two steals and assists apiece. He made just one of his six 3-point attempts, but was otherwise impactful in a big win for the Wildcats.
Brandon Miller, Alabama
Miller continued his hot scoring on Wednesday night, pouring on 24 points on 9-for-17 shooting, including four threes to help Alabama to a big conference win.
He also tacked on nine rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Keyonte George, Baylor
George's scoring prowess was on full display Wednesday night. The unsurprising future lottery pick lit it up for 23 points and not much else in the way of statistics: just two rebounds and a steal.
George shot 8-for-18 from the field and 2-for-8 from beyond the arc.
