NBA Draft: Wednesday’s College Roundup
Wednesday had a loaded slate of college basketball games, many of which included 2023 NBA Draft hopefuls looking to raise their stock.
Here were some of the top performances from Wednesday’s slate of college games:
Kyle Filipowski, Duke
Filipowski saw one of the best games of his frosh season on Wednesday, scoring 28 points on 8-for-14 shooting, tacking on 15 rebounds, two assists and one steal and block apiece.
Even better for the Blue Devils, it came in an 8-point win over Pitt that will hopefully set the team back on track.
Keyonte George, Baylor
An innate scorer of the ball, George saw his best career scoring night Wednesday. He scored a blazing 32 points shooting 10-for-18 overall and 5-for-9 from beyond the arc.
The combo guard also added seven rebounds and two assists.
Alabama vs. Arkansas
The fourth-ranked Crimson Tide took on No. 15 Arkansas on Wednesday in a star-studded draft battle.
There were upwards of six potential prospects in the contest, with Alabama’s Noah Clowney and Brandon Miller leading the way with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Arkansas guard Anthony Black, who shot 2-for-12 overall, and forward Jordan Walsh, who finished 1-for-5, both saw off nights.
Matthew Cleveland and Baba Miller
Matthew Cleveland continued his hot start to the year, scoring 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting and bringing down 12 rebounds on Wednesday.
Baba Miller, a projected first rounder in 2023, made his first collegiate appearance after serving a suspension for the first chunk of the season. He played 17 minutes, scoring just four points.
