NBA preseason action presses on Thursday as the NBA’s newest class of rookies continue to integrate themselves on their respective teams.

Several rookies got off to hot starts in their initial game, and others are looking to bounce back after underwhelming preseason debuts.

Here are some of the top rookie performances and matchups to watch for tonight:

Chet Holmgren Versus Ausar Thompson

Holmgren already had one of the top rookie performances last week, pouring on 21 points in just one half of play against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.

Tonight, he’ll likely see a much more tough, physical matchup on the interior with Jalen Duren, Isaiah Stewart or others.

On the flip side, Ausar Thompson will be looking to continue stuffing the stat sheet for Detroit.

Amen Thompson Looks to Bounce Back

The other half of the Thompson twins duo, Amen, played in his first Rockets’ preseason action on Tuesday, struggling to score at a high rate but adding in plenty of other areas.

He shot just one-for-nine from the field, but added seven points, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Against rookie Jordan Hawkins and the Pelicans, Thompson will look to add the scoring to his already blossoming defensive and passing skills.

Scoot Henderson Continues Fiery Run

No. 3 overall pick Scoot Henderson played just 19 minutes in his preseason debut on Tuesday, but tacked on seven points and six assists with authority.

At 9 p.m. tonight, he’ll look to continue his fiery run of play against Kevin Durant and the Suns.
