The end of the 2022-23 NBA regular season is in sight. For some, that means the postseason is nigh. For others, it brings the relief that can only come with a sub-20-win season.

With just a few games left on the schedule, teams are close to locking in their 2023 NBA Draft odds. Here are the current reverse standings, as well as a Tankathon spin to see where prospects could land:

1. Detroit Pistons, 16-62

With a loss to the Miami Heat tonight, Detroit could inch closer to locking in the top 2023 NBA Draft odds.

The Pistons would need to win three of their last four games to be dethroned, and a loss to the Heat will have them just one game away from securing the league’s worst record.

2. Houston Rockets, 19-60

Sandwiched between the Pistons and Spurs, Houston is likely to leave with the second-best draft odds, but aren’t out of the running to move up or down.

The Rockets have just three games left against the Nuggets, Hornets and Wizards, and while it’s unlikely they’ll win any of those contests, there’s always a chance in the final few games.

3. San Antonio Spurs, 20-58

San Antonio is already locked into the bottom three, but has a chance at catching Houston should things fall their way.

Regardless, Spurs fans can sleep soundly knowing they’ve secured their 14 percent chance at Wembanyama and will likely be leaving the 2023 NBA Draft with one of the top prospects.
