Kansas wing Gradey Dick has emerged as one of the best shooting talents in college basketball and a potential top-10 2023 NBA Draft pick.
With the NCAA postseason fast approaching, players are trying to hone their craft down the home stretch in hopes of raising their 2023 NBA Draft stock. And with French phenom Victor Wembanyama and G League Ignite star Scoot Henderson headlining, the race for the third spot is up for grabs.
One such player looking to do so is star Kansas frosh Gradey Dick, who is quickly rising up draft boards with his lights out shooting for the fifth-ranked Jayhawks.
Draft Digest writer Derek Parker took a film dive into the jumbo point guard’s talents:
So far this season, Dick is averaging 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 45 percent overall and just shy of 41 percent from beyond the arc. At 6-foot-8, Dick has shooting gravity that most prospects will never possess. He can adjust on the fly and knocks down shots in a variety of different ways.
Most importantly, his scoring is packaged neatly next to solid defensive playmaking and high-IQ passing and playmaking. He's been a focal points to a Kansas team that will have a great shot at repeating for the national championship in March.
His combination of athleticism, scoring and mistake-free game has him in contention to be a top-10 draft selection in 2023.
