Over the past week, Victor Wembanyama has been a much improved rebounder relative to the earlier part of the season.

Perhaps the most anticipated rookie in the last 20 years, Victor Wembanyama has now played 11 games in the NBA. While he has been extremely impressive, he's faced growing pains just like any first-year player should. With that in mind, he's continuing to figure new things out with each passing week, developing and adapting his game to thrive in this NBA style of play.

What has the generational talent done since our last Wemby Watch update, and what are his statistics to this point?

Spurs Record: 3-8

It was an inconsistent week overall for Wembanyama, but his best outing came against the Minnesota Timberwolves. What makes this especially impressive is the fact that Minnesota plays both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns in the frontcourt. On that night, Wembanyama scored 29 points to go along with nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and a steal while shooting 3-for-7 from beyond the arc.

More holistically, the biggest improvement for Wembanyama this week has been the rebounding production. He's struggled to score at a high rate consistently, but his ability to clean the glass has been extremely impressive to make up for it. Entering this week, the French big averaged 8.5 boards per game, but has produced 10.8 in his last four. This has become yet another way he can help the Spurs as they look to improve this season.

In the upcoming week, Wembanyama and the Spurs will take on the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies followed by the LA Clippers in back-to-back games.
