Prospect Profile

Bryant is a jumbo wing who is elite in transition where he can really leverage his physical tools. The Arizona freshman has an NBA-ready frame with a great blend of strength and athleticism.

When in a half-court setting, Bryant is comfortable handling the ball which makes him an ideal wing. He’s a diverse scorer at his size who can rise up and knock down shots over defenders as an oversized shooter. He still needs to improve as a movement shooter, but in spot-up situations he’s reliable from beyond the arc. When he looks to put the ball on the floor and get to the midrange or rim, Bryant has a good understanding of how to manipulate his defender.

In general, forwards tend to be too slow to contain him and guards are too small. It takes a true wing with good agility and strength to match up with Bryant. When he does get to the rim, he’s explosive and finishes with power. He also has an intriguing face-up game in the midrange. He might not be a point forward archetype, but Bryant can push the break and be a secondary creator at NBA level. He doesn’t necessarily project to be the number one scorer on a team at the next level, but has plenty of offensive upside.

Defensively, Bryant leverages his reported 7-foot wingspan well and moves with a high level of fluidity and speed for his size. He also has good natural instincts and provides versatility when it comes to defensive matchups. He can defend in space against wings, but still can struggle at times with quicker guards. Conversely, Bryant is strong enough to scale up and contain many frontcourt players in the post. He’s also a good shot blocker and rebounder, which adds to his intrigue as a defender.

The Arizona prospect was a top-25 player in his class and has as much upside as nearly anyone if he can put it all together at 6-foot-8. Bryant has a modern skillset and the ideal size of an NBA wing.
