NBA Draft Scouting Report: Florida's Zyon Pullin
Player Info
Zyon Pullin
Guard | Florida
Height: 6'4” | Weight: 205 lbs
2024 Draft Age: 23.31
Prospect Profile
A fifth-year breakout player, Pullin took his talents from UC-Riverdale to Florida last season and really proved that he can produce at the highest level. A well-rounded prospect who can do a little bit of everything, the 23-year-old is one of the more underrated players in this class.
During his lone season with the Gators, Pullin was a remarkable 3-point shooter. In fact, that’s going to be his calling card when it comes to sticking in the NBA. He converted on 45% of his triples, though on only 2.4 attempts per game. If he can prove to teams during the pre-draft process that this is real and he can also knock down shots on higher volume, he will be intriguing.
At 6-foot-4, Pullin will have the chance to play either guard position moving forward. He is a quality scorer on or off the ball, but also has the ability to facilitate for others. He dished out nearly five assists per game last season, which led Florida by a wide margin. He was also a good rebounding guard as well, which speaks to how well-rounded Pullin’s game is. He’s a good decision maker and can control a game. On the defensive end of the floor, Pullin’s sturdy frame allows him to play physically and match up with players of all types. He should be able to continue being effective at the NBA level as well.
Simply put, Pullin projects to be a quality backup point guard prospect. He can knock down threes, facilitate and hold his own on the defensive end. That in itself should be interesting to teams who need backcourt depth.
