Prospect Profile

A sophomore breakout candidate entering the season, Ndongo has been a primary starter his entire collegiate career from almost day one. The Georgia Tech forward is incredibly athletic and has filled out his frame since he got on campus as a freshman. He boasts a long wingspan that helps him on both ends and has NBA size overall.

The forward from Senegal is an efficient scorer, but that’s mostly due to his shot diet. The majority of his shots are taken inside the arc and close to the rim, but he does have the ability to step out and knock down threes. Ndongo hasn’t proven he can do that at a high volume, but it’s promising nonetheless. He won’t ever be a primary scorer in the NBA, but has intriguing traits on the offensive end and could develop more in the coming years. Ndongo is also a productive rebounder who can notch a double-double on any given night.

On the defensive end, Ndongo is a quality shot blocker and disruptive force all over the court. He’s a versatile defender with the size to guard up positionally, but also the speed and footwork to guard on the perimeter situationally too. That’s the side of the floor that brings the most upside and could translate immediately at the next level.

Ndongo made the ACC All-Rookie team last year and entered the 2024 NBA Draft, but came back for another season to improve his stock. The former four-star recruit is older for a sophomore, but has only been playing organized basketball since he was 14. He played for Senegal in the U19 World Cup in 2021, which was a big event for him as a prospect. If his defense continues to be a bright spot and the 3-point volume increases, don't be surprised to see Ndongo rise up boards leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft.
