Prospect Profile
An Italian prospect with a versatile skillset, Sarr is one of the most fascinating prospects in this draft class. Whether it’s as a traditional wing or jumbo off-ball guard, he has tremendous upside.
Sarr’s game overall is pretty inconsistent, showing extreme highs but also some concerning lows. This is especially true on the offensive end given he has a jumper that looks smooth but isn’t always as reliable as it needs to be, while also needing to refine his processing skills. Although Sarr can be very effective in unstructured scenarios and in transition where he can show off his athleticism and leverage his size, it’s the more defined sets and halfcourt settings that he can struggle in at times.
In short, Sarr has much room to develop and is still fairly raw on the offensive end, but there’s reason to believe he can get there. The natural tools and flashes of self-creation and facilitation at 6-foot-6 are special. He has a slender build and struggles with physicality at times, but his touch is very good for his age.
Defensively, Sarr has proven to be undisciplined at times, but the physical tools are certainly there. The foundational baseline could also use work, but the Italian prospect has shown flashes of greatness on this end. With more high-level reps on the court and quality development, there’s no question that Sarr could be a very versatile and effective defender one day. The length and versatility he could bring to an NBA team is enticing.
Sarr is one of the younger players in this class, turning 19 years old just ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. He’s just scratching the surface of his potential and it wouldn’t be surprising if an NBA team selected him earlier than expected in hopes of landing a high-upside steal.
