Prospect Profile

A 7-footer for Oregon, Bittle has really emerged in his senior season. He isn’t an elite prospect, but much of what he does could be useful for an NBA team in the right role.

Bittle isn’t necessarily a dynamic scorer, but he has some upside on that end. He is also a solid rebounder and can produce a double-double on any given night. He fits the pass-dribble-shoot archetype and is comfortable doing a bit of everything on the offensive end. One thing that stands out about his scoring is the touch he possesses and the advanced midrange game for his size.

The 7-footer has become a more willing 3-point shooter with each passing year of his college career. He still isn’t a sniper from beyond the arc, but defenses still have to respect his shot from deep, which goes a long way. Bittle has a quick release on his jumper, too. Furthermore, he’s a solid free throw shooter, especially for a big.

On the defensive end, Bittle moves pretty well for his size. He leverages his height and length to block shots and uses his mobility to do interesting things in space. He isn’t an elite defender, but he brings some versatility to the table.

Bittle missed quite a bit of time in the middle part of his college career due to injury and illness. Even then, he still has plenty of experience at that level and should be interesting to NBA teams. He’s a former Prolific Prep five-star recruit and highest rated Oregonian to play for the Ducks.
