There's only one spot left for the 2024 Team USA roster, with a plethora of options to choose from. While Kawhi Leonard may be the leading candidate for the job, there's another All-Star willing to take the spot if Leonard doesn't want it.

Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. was a member of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup team that secured a fourth-place medal. Despite the low results, Jackson wants to be a member of the 2024 Team USA roster.

“If I get the call, I’m there," Jackson said.

The current 2024 Team USA Basketball roster consists of the following players: Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis.

Some of the notable omissions from the Team USA roster include Jalen Brunson, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George. In the case of Leonard, however, it was reported by Shams Charania that Leonard is the favorite to capture the last roster spot.

This season, Jaren Jackson Jr. averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.2 steals on 44/32/81 shooting. Jackson is scoring a career-high from the field, but he hasn't been the defensive monster that he was last season. In 2023, Jaren Jackson Jr. was both the NBA's block leader and Defensive Player of the Year.

It remains to be seen who takes the final roster spot of Team USA basketball, but it'll be a very coveted one.
