The Memphis Grizzlies have now defeated the Golden State Warriors in two-straight matchups, tying the season series at two wins a piece. These two teams will not see each other again in the regular season, but a first round matchup remains very much in play. While the rivalry talk has been shut down by several Warriors players, there is certainly a level fo animosity that each side holds for the other.

As the Grizzlies were completing their victory over the Warriors, Dillon Brooks and Klay Thompson could be seen going back and forth from their respective benches. According to Grizzlies reporter Damichael Cole, Brooks shouted at Thompson, "You suck!

While it hasn't happened often, Brooks got the better of Thompson on Saturday evening. Finishing with 18 points on 4/4 from deep, Brooks outscored Thompson, who had just 14 points on 17 shots. It was another abysmal road showing for a Warriors team that has now lost 11-straight games on the road. Once again firmly in the play-in picture, Golden State is running out of time to correct their road woes before it's too late.

Should the Warriors end up in the play-in, a first round 2-7 matchup with the Grizzlies is very much in play. A 3-6 first round matchup is also still possible for Golden State and Memphis, as there are multiple ways these two teams could see more of each other before a champion is crowned this June.
