It is no secret that Dillon Brooks made some rivals during that Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies opening round last postseason. Publicly declaring that he wanted LeBron James and the Lakers prior to that matchup being set, Brooks doubled down on his trash talk during the series, calling James old after Memphis won their first game.

While Brooks upset a lot of opponents last season, his antics vs. the Lakers were some of the most notable. Recently facing off with former Lakers guard Dennis Schroder in FIBA World Cup play, Brooks was on the receiving end of some trolling after Schroder beat him down the floor for a layup:

The play has been going viral on social media, with the original post having accumulated nearly 150,000 views, while others that re-posted it have racked up millions. It seems to go viral any time Brooks gets a taste of his own medicine, which is something that happened several times last season.

While it wasn't just Brooks that talked trash on the Grizzlies last season, it's likely that his departure - along with the addition of some key veterans, will help them become a more mature team. Brooks was an important player for the Grizzlies, and certainly should not have his tenure reduced to how it ended, but it was clear that both sides should go in a new direction.
