Grizzlies Player Reacts to Big Off-Season Moves

Luke Kennard is a big fan of the Grizzlies' moves.

The Memphis Grizzlies made some major off-season moves that fans have been excited to see next season. It isn't just the fans that are excited though, it's also the players.

Luke Kennard spoke with Evan Barnes of the Memphis Commercial Appeal, where he revealed his excitement for the 2023-24 NBA season.

"Yeah, we're really excited," Kennard said. "We've got some really good additions this year, this summer, and I think they're going to help our team out a lot. I know just being around the city with guys and talking to guys a lot, we're really excited."

The Grizzlies had a special team last season that unfortunately became derailed by injuries. At one point, they had a legitimate chance at the first seed, but once Ja Morant became suspended, and both Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke became injured, it became a really tall task. Despite that, Luke Kennard is very excited for next season.

"I know we have a really good team this year," Kennard said. "With our coaches and everybody kind of just buying into what we want to do, we have a really good chance of being a really special team again this year and I'm looking forward to it."

On paper, the Memphis Grizzlies have a very special team. What's not on paper though, is their ability to stay composed and play smart basketball in tumultuous moments. Hopefully, with Marcus Smart, the team has renewed leadership for an even deeper playoff run.
