Grizzlies Reveal Shocking Injury Report vs. Clippers
On the last half of a back-to-back, the Memphis Grizzlies look to be going full load management against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. The team was without Ja Morant in last night's game against the Orlando Magic, and while he will make his return to the court against the Clippers in this one, he will likely be without several key rotation players.
In a shockingly long injury report, the Memphis Grizzlies are listing Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Tyus Jones as doubtful. Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, Vince Williams Jr., and Ziaire Williams all remain out. Xavier Tillman and John Konchar are both questionable for Memphis.
This is an incredibly extensive injury report, but with the Grizzlies creating three games of separation between themselves and the third seed Sacramento Kings, they must feel decent about where they are in the standings, and are taking a cautious approach to this back-to-back. With the doubtful statuses of Bane, Jackson, and Jones, there is still a possibility that those guys could play, but it seems as if the Grizzlies have just opted to rest them on this half of the back-to-back.
Memphis will get another crack at the Clippers on Friday, as they are beginning a mini series with LA in this one. For the Clippers, their injury report includes Paul George and Marcus Morris, as both players are out. Sixth man Norman Powell has been upgraded to questionable after an extended injury absence, so the team could be getting him back in this one.
