Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant had an incredibly wholesome moment with a young fan after Friday night's win over the Houston Rockets. During Luke Kennard‘s post game interview on the court, Morant could be seen giving a young fan his shoes on the sidelines. When asked about this moment, Morant revealed that he and the fan played rock paper scissors for the shoes, and Morant was upholding his end of the deal.

Morant is incredibly popular amongst young fans, specifically young Memphis Grizzlies fans. His style of play is arguably the most exciting in the entire NBA, and it naturally draws people towards him. Moments like these cannot be replicated anywhere else, and it was special that this one was caught on the broadcast.

Grizzlies fans are very excited to have Morant back in the mix, as are his teammates. While Morant was giving his shoes to the fan, his teammate Luke Kennard could be heard saying how excited the Grizzlies are to have him back in the mix. Kennard said Morant takes their team to a whole new level, and they have their sights set on something bigger than a solid regular season win in March.

While Morant is still coming off the bench, he looks great in his first minutes since returning from an eight-game suspension. The Grizzlies are 2-0 since he has been back in the mix, and will look to keep building off of this positive momentum.
