The Memphis Grizzlies pulled off a 29-point comeback against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, and they got a triple-double from their point guard Tyus Jones. Filling in for the suspended Ja Morant, Jones recorded his first career triple-double, and shared his immediate reaction after the game:

Neither Jones or his teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. realized he had enough rebounds for a triple-double, which made for a hilarious reaction from both players after the game. Jones has been solid all season for Memphis in a backup role, and has stepped up in a big way as their starter since Morant went out.

The Grizzlies got major contributions from several players on their roster in this comeback effort, as Jackson Jr. led the way with 28 points and 4 blocks, while Desmond Bane added 21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Luke Kennard came off the bench for Memphis with 13 points and 4 steals to go along with a game-high +21 plus/minus.

While getting down 29 points to these Spurs was never the plan for Memphis, their shorthanded group showed a lot of resilience to come back and get a major road victory. Looking to regain their hold on the two-seed, the Grizzlies have to continue picking up wins. In a solid comeback effort, they got a big one on Friday night behind a triple-double from Tyus Jones.
