Summer time is always an opportunity for NBA players to compete in exciting Pro-Am leagues. While these leagues are not the primary offseason training for NBA stars, they do give fans in those communities a chance to see NBA talent up close. In a recent video that has surfaced on Twitter, Memphis Grizzlies forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. was seen dominating the No Excuses Summer Pro League in Houston, Texas.

Lofton is an interesting piece for the Grizzlies, because he has shown a real ability to dominate G-League competition, and has even shown some of those flashes at the NBA level. In 17 games for the Memphis Hustle last season, Lofton averaged 20.2 PPG, 10.5 RPG, and 3.9 APG while converting 53.9% of his field goal attempts.

Lofton did not get many opportunities at the NBA level last season, but did score 120 points in 176 total minutes, which is impressive. While per 36 numbers are mostly irrelevant for a player with as few minutes played as Lofton had, the young forward did average 24.5 PPG and 10.4 RPG per 36 minutes in the NBA last season.

There could be some forward minutes up for grabs in Memphis next season, which Lofton will certainly be competing for in training camp. The team is high on his ability, and will definitely take an extended look at him.
