The Memphis Grizzlies got a solid win vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, holding off a gritty group that fought hard all game without LeBron James. The Lakers were led by Anthony Davis, who carried the scoring load with James out, but the star big man found himself on the wrong end of a poster dunk from Jaren Jackson Jr. in the fourth quarter.

Jackson Jr. rose up for the put-back jam, and threw it down with force. Davis was in the wrong place at the wrong time, ending up on the opposite end of this monster dunk from the Grizzlies big man.

Between this highlight play from Jackson Jr. and the historic third quarter from Ja Morant, it was an exciting game for the Grizzlies as they took care of a shorthanded Lakers team. It is going to be a rough stretch for the Lakers without LeBron James, which is especially unfortunate for them because they were starting to find a nice groove with their new trade deadline acquisitions.

The Lakers still have hopes of making the play-in tournament, but that path becomes more difficult with each loss. This game against the Grizzlies was always going to be tough, but it was especially tough with the solid play that Memphis displayed in the second half.

This was a close game throughout, and the Lakers did well to make it a game down the stretch, but the Grizzlies were ultimately too much for Los Angeles to handle as they fell by a final score of 121-109.
