Atlanta Hawks Announce Injury Report For Tomorrow's Matchup vs The Mavericks

Atlanta will look to snap its three-game losing streak when they face Dallas tomorrow

The Hawks are back at home after their two-game, West Coast road trip and will face the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow night. It is the first matchup of the year between the two teams and given how both teams perform on defense, it has the potential to be one of the highest-scoring games of the year.

Clint Capela (left calf contusion), Bruno Fernando (left lower back spasms), Wesley Matthews (right calf strain), and Trae Young (NBA concussion policy) are all questionable.

Mouhamed Gueye (right low back stress fracture), De’Andre Hunter (right knee inflammation), and Vit Krejci (left shoulder subluxation) are all out for Atlanta.

This seems to be a positive trend for Young after missing the last two games being in the concussion protocol. Keep an eye out for his status tomorrow.

The Hawks' offense started  off fine against the Warriors last night, but it was not able to sustain it through the whole game.

Atlanta was trailing 69-68 going into the half and while Golden State was shooting the ball well, the Hawks were keeping pace with them. Jalen Johnson was approaching a triple-double, Patty Mills had 11 points in the first half, and both Saddiq Bey and Bogdan Bogdanovic had strong halves.

That changed in the second half though.

Golden State did not slow down and still shot the ball well, but the Hawks offense just went in the gutter, and that allowed the Warriors to pull away for a big victory.

The Hawks were outscored 65-44 in the second half and shot 34% from the field and 17% from three. Golden State shot 59% from the field and 46% from three in the second half. When you have a big discrepancy like that, you are almost certainly going to lose.

Atlanta is going to have to have a stronger second half against the Mavericks tomorrow, as well as getting more production from their bench.
