Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics Game 5 Preview
Preview
The Atlanta Hawks enter Tuesday night's game against the Boston Celtics with their backs against the wall. Win and extend the series another game, lose and go home.
Boston has taken a 3-1 series lead thanks to the stellar play of their perimeter players. Two All-NBA players (Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown), two defensive stalwarts (Derrick White and Marcus Smart), and a Sixth Man of the Year candidate (Malcolm Brogdon) have given Atlanta's backcourt more than they can handle.
Atlanta does not have the star power or depth to challenge Boston in a seven-game series. Especially with Dejounte Murray suspended one game for bumping an official after Game 4. However, that doesn't mean Hawks head coach Quin Snyder or his players are ready to book their trips to Cancun yet.
Tonight's game will be the final stand for Trae Young and several other players who will soon enter an uncertain offseason. It could be the last game in a Hawks jersey for several familiar faces, or they could prove ultra-frustrating once again.
Injury Report
Boston's injury report lists Danilo Gallinari (knee) as out. Atlanta does not have any injuries to report at this time.
