Atlanta Hawks at Washington Wizards Preview
Preview
Just over one week ago, Quin Snyder coached his first game for the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately, the honeymoon period did not last long as Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma led the Washington Wizards to victory.
Atlanta picked up a much-needed win against the Portland Trail Blazers before dropping both games against the Miami Heat. While Hawks fans have every right to feel jaded, yesterday, we explained why it's too early to hit the panic button.
Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this season for Atlanta. However, they still hold a half-game lead over the Toronto Raptors and a one-game lead over Washington in the Eastern Conference standings.
It's easier said than done, but Atlanta needs to sweep their two games in our nation's capital. Beal and Kuzma are lethal from the outside, and they were without Kristaps Porzingis last game.
While the NBA is very different than college hoops, some mantras in March apply to both leagues - survive and advance. Trae Young and the Hawks just have to win one game at a time at this point.
Injury Report
Washington played last night and has not yet released an injury report. Meanwhile, Atlanta does not have any injuries to report at this time.
