Can Atlanta get their first win of the season on Friday against the Knicks?

The Atlanta Hawks have their home opener tonight against the New York Knicks tonight and the Hawks are hoping that they can clean up their mistakes from their opening night loss to the Hornets.

Atlanta is going to have to shoot the ball better than they did the other night if they want to have a chance to pick up a win tonight. The Knicks have been a tough defensive team under Tom Thibodeau and they are going to make scoring difficult for Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, and the Hawks.

The Knicks looked like they were going to score a big win on Wednesday night against the Eastern Conference favorite Boston Celtics, but they let the lead slip away, and a big night from Kristaps Porzingis got the win for Boston.

The Hawks and the Knicks have played in some contentious games since the playoff series a few years ago and this will be a battle between two teams that have hopes of landing a top-six seed in the Eastern Conference. This is a good test for both teams to see where they stack up in the East.

Things I am going to be watching tonight will be how the offense attacks the tough Knicks defense and how the Hawks will try and defend Jalen Brunson. Brunson is the best offensive player on the Knicks by a large margin and if the Hawks can slow him down, I like their chances to get a win tonight.

The Atlanta Hawks are a pretty healthy team going into their home opener against the New York Knicks on Friday night, with one exception. Veteran forward Wesley Matthews remains out with a mild right calf strain.

The Knicks have a clean health report coming into this game.

Here is how you can watch tonight's game.
