Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks: Start time, where to watch, betting odds
Without Trae Young last night, the Atlanta Hawks found a way to win on the road against the Detroit Pistons. Now, the Hawks will have to find a way to win a back-to-back and the New York Knicks will be coming to town for their second matchup of the year with the Hawks.
Last night, Murray had a 30 point and nine assist game and was the focal point of the offense. When Atlanta traded for Murray last summer, it was for nights and performances like this when either Young does not play or does not play well. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 17 points and both Jalen Johnson and De'Andre Hunter had 16 points.
The defense was still an issue last night. I don't think there was a high enough level of effort from the forwards last night until the second half when Saddiq Bey took over. Bey finished with 19 points and brought a lot of great energy.
Now, the Hawks will be back in Atlanta and looking to beat the Knicks. In their first meeting this season, New York hit 20 three pointers and both Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett had great games. The Knicks game was also De'Andre Hunter's best of the season. Hunter finished with 27 points on 8-13 shooting, including three three pointers.
There are going to be injury questions coming into this game.
Trae Young (Personal Reasons) did not play against the Pistons and RJ Barrett is listed as questionable for tonight. Those are huge parts to both teams and can swing the game.
