Boston Celtics at Atlanta Hawks Game 6 Preview
Summary
The first-round Eastern Conference Playoff matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics has already gone on longer than the experts predicted. Following Trae Young's Game 5 heroics, Atlanta plays host to Boston in a must-win Game 6 tonight.
For the first time since 2021, it feels like there is real momentum behind Atlanta. After pulling off an improbable upset on Tuesday night, another win feels very possible—especially with the return of Dejounte Murray after his one-game suspension.
However, a lot had to go wrong for Boston to lose Game 5. Not only did Jayson Tatum have an uncharacteristically off night, but Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has come under fire for questionable rotation decisions down the stretch.
If this series has taught us anything, it's that games can swing in any team's direction. Despite being heavy underdogs, the Hawks truly have some wind at their back entering tonight's elimination game.
Stats
Boston's injury report lists Danilo Gallinari (knee) as out. Meanwhile, Atlanta does not have any injuries to report at this time.
