The Atlanta Hawks look to get back on track against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. Atlanta is reeling after blowing a 24-point lead to the lowly San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. There is no better opportunity than a game against the worst team in the league.

Inconsistency has plagued Atlanta since their unexpected 2021 Eastern Conference Finals run. The organization has burned through different front offices and head coaches, yet the core problem remains the same - the team is unreliable from night to night.

Over 86% of the regular season is in the rearview mirror, and Atlanta sits at one game below .500 and eighth in the Eastern Conference standings. Their offensive rating has ticked up to tenth, while their defensive rating has fallen to 22nd in the league. At the end of the day, Atlanta remains painfully mediocre.

Meanwhile, Detroit is one of several teams embarking on an epic tank job in hopes of landing the generational prospect Victor Wembanyama later this summer. Winning tonight's game does not benefit their greater plan, but that will not stop professional players from trying to play spoiler late in the season.

Detroit's injury report lists R.J. Hampton (back) as questionable. Isaiah Livers (hip), Jalen Duren (head), Alex Burks (foot), Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles), Isaiah Stewart (hip), Hamidou Diallo (ankle), and Cade Cunningham (leg) are out.

Atlanta's injury report lists Dejounte Murray (non-COVID illness) as questionable, and Jalen Johnson (mild left hamstring strain; mild left groin strain) is out.
