The Atlanta Hawks announced an exciting new partnership today.

The Atlanta Hawks today announced a new partnership with Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) to further strengthen

both organizations’ continued commitment to the community and enhancing education through technology. The Hawks Basketball Academy is hosting two Lady Ballers events, one on Saturday, March 16 and another on Saturday, April 13, in which young female basketball players can sign up by visiting Hawks.com/basketballacademy.

“We love partnerships where we can connect to the Atlanta community in authentic and meaningful ways and our programming with Google, an incredible global brand, is just that,” said Hawks’ Vice President of Revenue Strategy Jennifer Young. “Together, we will amplify our community engagement to impact the next generation of Atlanta.”

As an integral part of this relationship, Google Cloud will be the presenting partner of the team’s Lady Ballers Program, which aims to encourage and support youth basketball participation and improve the overall youth basketball experience for girls ages six to 18. The two organizations will host two clinics throughout the season as well as one four- day week of Jr. Hawks Summer Camps in which girls will focus on building life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence. The two organizations will integrate STEM activities into the one-week Lady Ballers basketball camp set to take place later this summer at Northside Youth Organization.

“Educating the next generation of tech innovators is critical to America’s future, and we’re excited to play a role in Atlanta’s community. This investment with the Atlanta Hawks is a tangible investment that will provide local students access to the tools and training that can help them gain a competitive advantage for future jobs and to thrive in their chosen careers,” says Felica Coney, Google Cloud Vice President of Server Operations.

Google has been a part of Atlanta for more than 20 years. There are more than 1,000 full-time Google employees in Georgia — in two offices in Atlanta and a data center in Douglas County — helping to build and support our products, and help our partners and customers across the South and nationally. Their commitment to Atlanta extends far beyond the walls of our offices. In 2021, Google products helped provide $13.21 billion of economic activity for tens of thousands of Georgia businesses, nonprofits, publishers, creators, and developers.
