Basketball and sports fans everywhere are talking about the dunk heard around the world from last night.

The dunk I am talking about of course is Anthony Edwards posterizing John Collins. That is one of the best dunks in recent memory and also might make people forget about one at the beginning of the Hawks vs Lakers matchup.

Los Angeles would dominate the game and win big, but Hawks forward Jalen Johnson was able to get one of the highlights of the night by dunking on Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

After the game, Reaves was asked about the dunk and gave a pretty funny reaction:

The Lakers got the last laugh last night by beating the Hawks by 31 points.

The Hawks got blown off the floor by the Lakers tonight and the game was largely uncompetitive in the second half. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D'Angelo Russell all had huge nights and the Hawks defense could do nothing against the Lakers offensive attack. While it was the second night of a back-to-back, it was disappointing to see the Hawks play this poorly.

It is not hard to see why the Hawks lost this game. The defense was atrocious and the three-point shooting cooled off in a big way. It was the complete opposite of the big win vs the Clippers Sunday night.

Johnson finished the game with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Atlanta shot 43% from the field and 22% from three.

The Lakers finished the game shooting 58% from the field and 42% from three. James finished with 25 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists, and Davis had 22 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists, and Russell led all scorers with 27 points and 10 assists.

The Hawks's five-game road trip is going to wrap up on Thursday vs Phoenix. The game is going to be another late one and is slated to start at 10:30 p.m.
