Toronto Raptors vs. Atlanta Hawks Preview
Preview
Two familiar foes face off in State Farm Arena on Saturday evening. On Halloween night, the Toronto Raptors ran the Atlanta Hawks off the floor by a score of 139-109. Some of Atlanta's struggles in that game could be attributed to a treacherous travel schedule.
However, Atlanta cannot use fatigue as an excuse tonight. The team has been home for several days, and Toronto is without several key players (more on that below). All eyes will be on Hawks point guard Trae Young who is mired in the worst shooting slump of his career.
The once-prolific Hawks offense is now in the middle of the pack. They rank at or near the bottom in all three-point shooting stats. If there was ever an easy opportunity for a breakout game, it's tonight.
Injury Report
The Raptors injury report lists Precious Achiuwa (right ankle sprain), Chris Boucher (Non-COVID illness), Dalano Banton (left ankle sprain), Otto Porter Jr (left toe dislocation), Pascal Siakam (right adductor strain), and Gary Trent Jr. (Non-COVID illness) as out.
The Hawks are enjoying good health. Only Bogdan Bogdanovic (right knee recovery) is out. Yesterday, we discussed how Bogdanovic's recovery has taken twice as long as initially expected.
