Trae Young and The Eastern Conference triumph over the Western Conference in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game is officially in the books and now, the final part of the NBA season will commence later this week.
Tonight was a show of the NBA's top stars chunking up as many three-pointers as they could and getting in as many free dunks as they could. It was another high-scoring affair in what has become normal now in today's All-Star Game. For the first time ever, one of the two teams scored 200 points, with the East winning 221-186.
After coming up short in last night's skills challenge and three-point contest, Trae Young was going to be one of the players to keep an eye on tonight. His game is well-suited for the All-Star Game. He is one of the NBA's premier passers and one of the most entertaining three-point shooters in the game. His distance from three is only matched by Steph Curry.
Tonight though, it was a while before we even got to see Young step on the court.
For reasons unknown, Eastern Conference All-Stars head coach Doc Rivers did not play Young until under the 10-minute mark in the 2nd quarter and Young played the fewest minutes of any player on the East.
Young had some highlight moments in this game to be sure because like I said, his game is well-suited for this type of environment.

The next big highlight from Young came on a lob to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

At the end of the third quarter, Young hit the final shot, which turned out to be a wide-open three-pointer.

Damian Lillard, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Haliburton were paving the way for the East in this game. They helped lead the way in what would be a 200-point effort.
On the Western Conference side, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 50 points.
The Hawks are back in action on Friday night when they face the Toronto Raptors at home.
