WATCH: Dejounte Murray Nails Buzzer Beater to Beat the Magic
Whenever the Hawks and the Magic meet up, you can almost guarantee that the result is going to be close.
Tonight was no exception. Orlando battled the Hawks all the way to the bitter end and when Paolo Banchero hit a game-tying three-point shot with nine seconds left, it looked like the Hawks and Magic were going to play their second overtime game of the year.
But Dejounte Murray had other plans.
Murray drove down the court to his left and put up a shot to win it and he nailed it. State Farm Arena went nuts and Atlanta got a much needed second straight win.
For the game, Atlanta shot 51% from the field and 32% from three. Murray led the way for the Hawks with 26 points and of course the game-winning shot. Six Hawks were in double figures tonight.
Orlando shot 44% from the field and 28.6% from three tonight. Banchero had 26 points, while five other Orlando players were in double-figures.
Next up for the Hawks is a matchup with the Miami Heat on the road. Tip-off is set for 8:00 on Friday.
