Oddsmakers Continue To Link Donovan Mitchell With Miami Heat

Gambling website says the Miami Heat have the third-best odds of acquiring Donovan Mitchell if the Cleveland Cavaliers decided to trade him
In this story:

It seems the Miami Heat are unable to get away from being linked with Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell.

The Heat were linked with Mitchell in the summer of 2022 before he was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Cavs. The speculation has continued this season because there are rumors of Mitchell considering opting out of his final season in Cleveland next summer.

That means the Cavs would likely attempt to trade him this season instead of losing him for nothing during free agency. According to the gambling website Bookies.com, the Heat have the third-best odds of acquiring Mitchell this season. The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets were at the top of the list.

Donovan Mitchell Next Team Odds

New York Knicks +250 (28.6%)

Brooklyn Nets +275 (26.7%)

Miami Heat +425 (19.1%)

New Orleans Pelicans +450 (18.2%)

Houston Rockets +850 (10.5%)

The Field +500 (16.7%)

Mitchell to Miami has always made sense because of his friendship with Heat star Bam Adebayo. Many believe they need another star to pair alongside Jimmy Butler.

Still, it remains unlikely because the Heat would probably have to part ways with Tyler Herro, who began the season playing at an All-Star pace before being slowed by an ankle injury.

But expect another a few months of the rumor mill linking the Heat with Mitchell.
