The Terry Rozier trade to the Miami Heat originally looked underwhelming.

Now, it’s looking like a success after the another star performance by the veteran shooting guard. Rozier scored 34 points (8 of 11 from 3-point range) in the Heat’s Tuesday night victory over the New York Knicks. He pretty much dominated Heat Twitter, as fans are ecstatic to have another potential scoring option aside Jimmy Butler come playoff time.

Over the last three games, he averaged 27.7 points on 57 percent shooting from the field. Since the middle of March, Miami is 4-1 when he scores at least 20 points.

The Heat had other solid contributions as well, with double-digit performances from Jimmy Butler, Haywood Highsmith and Bam Adebayo.

Highsmith has been on a tear, averaging 15.4 points on 70 percent shooting from 3-point range. He added a 14-point performance against New York, including the 3-point shot that put the Heat ahead late in the fourth quarter.

Butler had just 17 points, including one field goal in the entire second half. Honestly though, it's probably re-assuring to see someone else take over. The defensive performance and collective effort is the team basketball Miami needs for the postseason.

The Heat are just a half game out of sixth place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Indiana Pacers (43-33). It feels like this has been the story for nearly a month, but this may finally be the time for Miami to take advantage.

They play the Philadelphia 76ers (41-35) Thursday night.
