A Look Back At Miami Heat-New York Knicks Series During Regular Season
The Miami Heat and New York Knicks meet in the playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons.
The last time they met up was 2012 when LeBron James and Dwyane Wade led the Heat to a 4-1 first round series victory against Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks.
Here's a look at how they played against each other this season when the Knicks won three of four games:
Feb. 2:
The Knicks snapped a two-game losing streak with a 106-104 victory. RJ Barrett scored 30 points to lead them with Jalen Brunson sidelined due to an illness. Julius Randle had 23 points and 10 rebounds while Quentin Grimes had 17 points.
Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 32 points. Tyler Herro had 25 but missed a winning 3-pointer in the corner. Max Strus had 17 points while Jimmy Butler struggled with 10.
Mar. 3:
It was another close one that came down to a last-second shot. Only this time, it went in.
Julius Randle scored 43 points and a winning 3-pointer to give the Knicks their eighth straight victory. Brunson had 25 points and Immanuel Quickley led all reserves with 21.
Butler scored 33 points and Herro had 29. Adebayo recorded 18 points, 14 of them in the second half.
Mar. 22:
The Heat finally got a win and it was an important one. Butler scored 35 points to lead them to a 127-120 victory, pushing them closer to a guaranteed playoff spot. Herro had 22 points while hitting four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Barrett, Brunson, and Grimes combined for 73 points while Randle had 15.
Mar. 29:
The Knicks used a huge fourth quarter to secure a 92-101 victory. Quickley and Grimes combined for 47 points and Brunson and Barrett had 12. Randle only had three before leaving the game with a leg injury.
Gabe Vincent scored 21 points to lead the Heat and Herro had 16.
