Can Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler And Bam Adebayo Get It Together In Time For Game 7?
When things were going in this series, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were playing like the ultimate duo.
That has changed the last three games, especially the last two, against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.
Butler is averaging 19 points on 10 of 31 shooting.
Adebayo is averaging 13.5 points on 12 of 31 shooting.
Bottom line is this: Both know they need to play better if they are to have any chance of winning Game 7 Monday.
Here's what Adebayo, Butler and coach Erik Spoelstra had to say:
Butler
"I just missed shots. I just got to make them, continually hit the open guy, stay aggressive ... If I'm level-headed through the good and bad, they will be as well."
Adebayo
"Keep shooting the shots that I'm shooting. I've got confidence in myself like no other. For me, it feels like a lid is on the rim. But I've got to figure out how to make that basketball go in."
Spoelstra
I don't give a damn what they shot. We were up one. We may win this thing as ugly as it's ever been done. I don't care what guys shoot. It's the competitive will that I'm talking about, and those guys are going to bring it on -- it's the playoffs, so I have no idea what the day is, but I guess, Monday? All right. Is that good? Thank you."
