Could Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler Back His Way Into All-Star Game?

Butler could find a spot in All-Star Game with Kevin Durant and Jaylen Brown out of the mix

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler may not get the rest he was expecting during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City.

It was recently revealed two players, Kevin Durant and Jaylen Brown, are expected to miss the game because of injuries. That opens a pair of spots on the Eastern Conference team, which Butler could possibly fill.

The chances are slim because the league could easily choose Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors) or Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks) as replacements. Both have better individual numbers but Butler has played a role in the Heat regrouping after a slow start.

Many analysts have also said Butler was the biggest snub during the selection process. He is the leading scorer on the No. 6 team in the East. If chosen, Butler would join teammate Bam Adebayo in the All-Star game.
