Duncan Robinson’s Fourth Quarter Efforts Rallies Miami Heat Over Memphis Grizzlies

Miami Heat’s Duncan Robinson turned the tide in the fourth quarter in a preseason victory against the Memphis Grizzlies

Miami Heat sharpshooter Duncan Robinson’s eight-point performance in the fourth quarter led to the Heat’s comeback win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Miami entered the fourth quarter down 101-98 despite Tyler Herro’s 30 points in 30 minutes. Center Bam Adebayo recorded 26 points and 4 blocks entering the final quarter.

Robinson’s streak began with a three-pointer with about seven minutes left. He then hit a drive-in reverse layup, which made the score 118-115. A minute later, Robinson hit a breakaway three to bring the Heat within two.

Robinson struggled in the first three quarters, scoring only four points. However, he finished strong, shooting 62.5 percent.

After this swing, Julian Champagnie sealed the victory. His defensive efforts in the final four minutes prevented a final push from Memphis.

Entering the season, the 29-year-old Robinson is looking to secure his spot in the Heat’s rotation. After two disappointing years, he bounced back during their NBA Finals run. He averaged 9 points on 47.5 percent shooting and 44.2 percent from three-point range.

With forward Max Strus departing in free agency, Robinson and Cole Swider will step in to fill those minutes.

Miami faces the Detroit Pistons at the Kaseya Center on October 25 in their regular season opener.
