Eastern Conference Recaps, Feb. 5: Scottie Barnes Winning Shot Gives The Toronto Raptors The Victory Against Memphis Grizzlies

Seven Raptors players score double-figures in win

All five Toronto Raptors starters scored in double-figures to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 106-103. Pascal Siakam led the way with 19 points but it was Scottie Barnes who drove the lane and made a hook shot over Jaren Jackson to secure the victory.

“Things got tight in the fourth quarter,” Barnes said. “It was just the ball was coming to me, and I was having a ball. I was just trying to get downhill and win the game.”

Chris Boucher had 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench and Fred VanVleet had 15. With Ja Morant (wrist) sidelined, Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies with 26 points. Jaren Jackson scored 18 points and Santi Aldama had 15.

OTHER NOTES:

-The Orlando Magic defeated the Charlotte Hornets 119-113 behind Paolo Banchero’s 22 points and 10 rebounds. Wendell Carter had 20 points and 12 rebounds while Markelle Fultz had 16 points.

LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 33 points and Terry Rozier had 24.

-All five Cleveland Cavaliers starters scored in double-figures to take a 122-103 victory against the Indiana Pacers. Darius Garland led the way with 24 points and Isaac Okoro had 20. Myles Turner had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers and Buddy Hield had 16 points.

-Julius Randle’s 24 points led the New York Knicks to a 108-97 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers. Jalen Brunson had 21 points and Evan Fournier scored 17 off the bench.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 31 points and 14 rebounds and Tobias Harris had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
