Eastern Conference Recaps, March 10: Brooklyn Nets Get Another Big Game From Mikal Bridges To Stay 2.5 Games Ahead of Miami Heat

Bridges had 34 points in win against Minnesota Timberwolves

The Brooklyn Nets are no position where they can get picky about wins.

They barely survived the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 124-123 victory Friday in overtime. Mikal Bridges led the way with 34 points. It was his sixth 30-point game since being acquired by the Nets last month.

“I think our biggest thing is just trying to win,” Bridges said. “If I score four or five, I'm not tripping. I just want to go out there and win."

The win allowed the Nets to stay 2.5 games ahead of the Miami Heat for sixth-place in the Eastern Conference standings. If the Nets stay at No. 6, they avoid the play-in tournament.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 32 points.
