Former NBA Forward Evan Turner Says Jimmy Butler And Khris Middleton Is A “True Debate”

Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler has drawn comparisons to many players, such as NBA legends Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
But former NBA wing Evan Turner is now comparing Butler to Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton.
“People would flip their lids if I tried to start a Khris Middleton or Jimmy Butler debate,” Turner posted on social media. “Because that’s a true debate, respectfully, for all parties involved.”
This comparison threw many off guard because of the discrepancy between the two. Middleton is the No. 2 player in Milwaukee while Butler is the undisputed best player on the Heat. Butler has twice as many All-Star accolades, with five All-Defensive selections to Middleton’s zero. Butler also consistently puts up superstar playoff performances, while Middleton struggles with inconsistency at times.

That’s not to knock Middleton, though. He is essential to the Bucks’ success, as evidenced by the past few seasons. He teamed with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2021 playoffs to win their first championship in half a century. Middleton’s injury the next postseason left an absence that made a repeat unable to happen. He’s a star player and solid second or third option on a championship team.
He’s just not Butler, which is nothing to be ashamed of. Very few can perform on the same level as the Heat superstar.
