Heat vs. Hawks Play Of The Night: Tyler Herro Nails Three-Pointer After Leaving Defender In The Dust
The Miami Heat's streak of narrow finishes continued with a one-point loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Guard Tyler Herro and forward Jimmy Butler led the team in scoring with 25 points. However, their efforts were not enough to overpower Atlanta's efficient display.
Herro showcased a stellar offensive possesion at the start of the second half.
Herro came to the top of the key, where he received a handoff from center Bam Adebayo. Exploding with momentum, Herro drove towards the paint before going behind his back. The move sent Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic feet away from Herro, who took advantage of the separation. He drilled a stepback three-pointer, which extended their lead to eight points.
The former Sixth Man of the Year displayed efficient shooting along with six rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Meanwhile, Bogdanovic recorded 17 points and three rebounds on 40 percent shooting and 3 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc.
It was Hawks guard Dejounte Murray who led the team to victory with 22 points and 11 assists. Not to mention, he drained a go-ahead three-pointer with two seconds left in the game.
The Heat will look to bounce back from this disappointing week against the Orlando Magic (22-20) on Sunday.
