How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Friday's Loss To The New York Knicks

The Miami Heat blew yet another lead in their underwhelming defeat to the New York Knicks.

The Miami Heat looked like they would cruise to victory after building a dominant third-quarter lead over the New York Knicks.

You want to guess what transpired next?

Yep, the Heat blew another double-digit lead this season, this time after being up by over 20 points midway through the third quarter. Heat fans likely thought of the possibility of this occurring, but still had faith the team could hold on with a dominant victory.

That faith dwindled as the fourth quarter developed, with New York hitting effortless shots while the Heat failed to reciprocate.

"The Heat would be the 1st seed if it wasn’t for generational 4Q collapses," user HeatNation said.

The talks of depth and praise for the role players was replaced by criticism of not acquiring outside help in the offseason.

"This Heat team has now blown two 20+ point leads in less than a week," user HeatCulture said. "I wanna believe in this team but then I remembered why I got mad at the front office for not making moves in the summer. That 4th quarter showed why you don’t depend on below average talent every year. Good job, you guys embarrassed yourselves again."

Jimmy Butler led the team in scoring with 23 points but had some questionable shots down the stretch, including another late unnecessary 3-pointer. Fans usually appreciate his boldness but this rushed shot ultimately cost the team.

The Heat held their own against Julius Randle, limiting him to just 13 points with six turnovers. However, they couldn’t stop Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson down the stretch, as each scored eight points in the fourth quarter.

The Heat have a chance at redemption against the Brooklyn Nets (6-8) Saturday night.
